About Us

The Koorie Night Market

The Koorie Night Market is a  public market celebrating and promoting Indigenous arts, culture and identity. Consisting of arts, crafts and services offered by up to 50 Aboriginal & Torres Straight Islander artisan and artist stallholders at each market, along with performances by well known and upcoming Indigenous musicians and dancers, the Koorie Night Market offers a bargain for everybody and an opportunity to appreciate and support Koorie culture and industry.  The markets provide the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community with an opportunity to promote their talents and their culture, and to build sustainable relationships and businesses. Attended and appreciated by many people from all walks of life, the Koorie Night Market provides an evocative cross-cultural experience.  The markets are organised by KNM Inc, a  not-for-profit majority Indigenous organisation consisting of permanent staff, volunteers and managed by a Board of Management. Board members  include representatives from partner organisations, stallholders and the Koorie community.
